Biography: As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Rosen performs both diagnostic heart catheterizations and coronary interventions including angioplasty, and stent implantation. Dr. Rosen utilizes the radial artery approach (wrist) which offers patient comfort and satisfaction by reducing bleeding and post procedure immobility.
Dr. Rosen treats all aspects of peripheral vascular disease including venous and arterial disease. He performs vein ablation, sclerotherapy, and ambulatory phlebectomy for varicose/ spider veins, vein insufficiency, leg pain and swelling (edema). He also specializes in the treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) for leg pain (claudication), and impaired wound healing (critical limb ischemia). This includes, but is not limited to, angioplasty and stenting of the lower extremities (legs), carotid (neck), subclavian (shoulder) and renal (kidney) arteries.
He has extensive training in various non-invasive imaging modalities including echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, nuclear cardiology, stress test imaging, and Holter monitoring.
He has multiple board certifications including Interventional Cardiology, Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Physician Vascular Interpretation and Internal Medicine. He has authored numerous publications and abstracts in peer reviewed journals, in addition to giving presentations at many cardiology conferences.
Dr. Rosen graduated with honors from the University of Michigan, and obtained his medical degree from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his medical residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, and cardiology fellowship at Northside Hospital, Tampa Bay Heart Institute, where he was chief cardiology fellow. He then completed an interventional cardiology/ endovascular medicine fellowship at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in New Jersey.
