About the Cardiovascular Vein Academy
The CardioVascular Vein Academy is the first dedicated program for the Cardiovascular Specialist. It was created in 2006 in order to train existing cardiovascular specialists on this important procedure and the methods to successfully incorporate it into their practices. The Academy was founded by board certified cardiovascular specialists with exceptional credentials. Our Founders, Dr. Soffer and Dr. Cohen, implemented a philosophic approach to varicose veins as a progressive circulatory disease best treated by professionals familiar with cardiovascular maladies. We have one of the world’s largest cardiovascular experiences in treating patients successfully with laser ablation technology. We performed the industries first human trials of some of the latest laser technology and have trained physicians nationwide in our unique approach to this emerging technology.

Biography: Dr. Yale M. Cohen, M.D., F.A.C.C., is trained in cardiology, ultrasound, stress testing, cardiac catheterization and cholesterol management and has performed hundreds of laser ablation cases.
His undergraduate training was at the University of Pennsylvania Medical School, his residency at the University of Pittsburgh and Fellowship at the Presbyterian Division of the University of Pennsylvania. He is currrently the Director of Clinical Research at Healthworx, Chief of Cardiology at Memorial Regional Hospital and medical director to the Weston Chamber of Commerce.

Biography: Dr. Ariel Soffer graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine with distinction, and completed a residency in internal medicine at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, Ca. Dr. Soffer completed his cardiovascular fellowships at the University of Southern California and Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases, and is a Licensed Nuclear Cardiologist. Dr Soffer has performed hundreds of laser ablation cases and was published in Endovascular Today (pdf). He performed some of the original human research on new laser technology.
He is the former Chief of Medicine of Hollywood Medical Center and is the current CEO/President of HealthwoRx and the Official Preventive Cardiologist for the NHL's Florida Panthers. He is a book author and national speaker on many cardiovascular issues and currently trains cardiologists on various techniques and procedures worldwide.
